The Common at Dusk.

The picture i chose represents my favroite place in Boston, The Common. Besides the obvious reasons, i also chose to photograph there because of the amount of chaos. I actually had a hard time deciding between the plant life, squirrels or people. I decided on a light pole surrounded by an vibrant overgrown tree, not hit by the turning season as of yet. The shape was tricky because with the shutter speed was set so low. As for lines, i knew i would get some interesting shapes withinn the lines also because of the shutter speed.

theres a lot of movement with all the smeared branches and leaves. it makes me think of the inside of a tornado

I really like the colors of this photo.
The dark greens and blues seem like if could be a picture of the sky at night or even some underwater scene.

Molly--this image uses color primarily I think to give us a feeling of some natural environment, one which is lush and summer hot, like a rainforest or the everglades. The bright white light in the top right is evenly blurry in relation to the green and blue blurry color fields, so feels like the central point of the composition. I'm not entirely sure how the sharp diagonal lines on the bottom right work, or what exactly they contribute. They are quite contrasting to the mood of the rest of the image, and could provide a counterpoint, but to what effect? In other words, I'm not sure how they relate to this natural environment that the rest of the image so beautifully portrays...
