The element of composition that I used in my piece was movement. I wanted to portray the houses as slightly simplified abstractions of the houses in the original photo, using a series of trapezoids. In addition, I wanted to capture the unrealistically bright colors of the photo in my collage, which I succeeded in doing using cut up boxes of food and laundry products.
