I like the way the composition of this photograph came together. I think that the pink shirt on the woman provides nice contrast with the bright blue and white on the truck driving by behind her. I also like how the truck provides a solid horizontal line, while in the background the building under construction provides strong solid vertical lines.
I actually think that the photo works better having not used a tripod, because the pattern of repeating steel beams in the building would come out as being too sharp and crisp, and feel too solid for a photo thats trying to show how busy an area is.
I really like this one. It looks like the truck/bus and the woman are moving in opposite directions. It's cool how you captured and paused the motion of both, like for just one moment the city stopped.
Kendall- this image is dominated by the use of line--the slightly off kilter horizontals that all lead from left to right in the image, but which feel like they lean in the opposite direction from the line suggested by the movement of the woman through the image space. Very successfully done. Also the color relationships make the woman really pop in the image, but the complex and defined lines in the background keep visual interest and directionality going. Great job
i think the blurred horizontal liines on the bus(?) in the background create a strong sense of movement. she looks really intense.
