My Flicker keyword was concert. I chose this image because I was looking to create something with a central figure or focus. The element of design most applicable to this image is dominance. The blue lines (bows) point toward the conductor, away from the players, as naturally, they would follow her direction throughout the music. The color of the conductor's skin also makes her the central, dominant element of the picture. The blackness behind her also emphasizes her importance, and also, she is the only figure transcending the horizontal split (the pit wall).
