when recreating my photograph, my main compositional element was dominance. the intent of the composition is to make the tire in the center of the foreground the most dominant, the main subject of the image. however, i think i made a mistake by chosing such a dark, solid material for the tire in the upper right hand corner because it may cause confusion. aesthetically, due to its color and boldness, that tire also becomes a focal point. i also think i made a mistake in my background paper choice for under the plastic bag. the vertical lines of the music bars disrupt the natural flow of triangular movement between the three tires. had i possibly cut them in strips and put them in directions that helped to guide the viewer's eye, i think it would have been more affective.
